Now begins the winter of my discontent

I applied to several grad schools over the past year, in an effort to continue my edumacation and get a PhD. You know, for fun. So far, Montana couldn’t take me because they ran out of money and Nebraska delayed my app till June (I applied for a January start date) because they didn’t get enough apps. I have been waiting to hear from several more schools. Today, I got the first of these responses. It was from Rochester. They have, in effect, WTFPWN3D me. No school for me, come back two weeks. In case I haven’t been clear, let me put it in the eloquent words of the announcer from NBA Jam: “REJECTED!”

I’m going to go cry in my Ramen noodles now.
